Crossfield, Alberta, is located in southern Alberta in Rocky View County.
Crossfield was first founded in 1892 and was named after an engineer who surveyed the area for the installation of the Canadian Pacific Railway. Crossfield was incorporated as a town on August 1st, 1980. The main economic fields in Crossfield today are agriculture and natural gas.
