Bragg Creek, Albeta is
located in southern Alberta, 30 kilometers west of Calgary. The picturesque
mountain views in Bragg Creek bring many tourists to the area.
Bragg Creek was named after Albert Warren Bragg and his brother settled in the area in 1894. The first prime economic generator was the Ranching industry which was followed by the recreation industry. In 2005, there was a catastrophic flood in Bragg Creek that led to many buildings being damaged. The community pulled together and rebuilt shortly after.
According to Statistic Canada’s 2011 census, Bragg Creek has a population of 595.
